The UNCG campus is conducting a food drive for the Greensboro Urban Ministry through September 26th.
There's a donation box on the 1st floor of Jackson Library across from the Check Out Desk.
As you can see from this blog post their cupboards are bare and they are not able to provide assistance to needy families. Sadly, food insecurity plagues 23% of our community. Give what you can!
The Office of Leadership & Service-Learning is sponsoring a voting information session with a FREE pizza lunch on September 10th. Come check it out!
Also, a voter registration table will be available in Jackson Library from Wednesday, September 3rd to Friday, October 10. This is part of a non-partisan effort to get students involved in the voting process. Some important dates to know:
Oct. 10 - Deadline to register to vote in general election (get registered) Oct. 23 - Nov. 1 - Early voting period for general election Oct 28 - Last day to request absentee ballot for general election
